Our Resources
In our mission to increase mental health access, we have compiled a list of resources that are free of charge. By providing resources, we aim to inspire both mental health advocacy and literacy. Taking time for yourself is not selfish! Prioritizing your mental health is necessary to maintain a balanced life with benefits of reduced stress, healthy relationships in how we engage with our loved ones and community, and increased motivation and reassurance to continue concentrating on the tasks important to us.
To those who have countless responsibilities and people dependent on you, you can not be there for others if you do not care for yourself first! Unsure where to start?
We strongly recommend the free Be There Certificate, available in French, English and Spanish, to learn the basics: signs of struggle, how to start a conversation with someone who is mentally ill, how to build a trusting and practicable connection, listening expectations, how to set boundaries with yourself and others, and how to access professional help.

Cognitive distortions are irrational thoughts that influence how you see the world, how you feel, and how you act. It’s normal to have cognitive distortions occasionally, but they can be harmful when frequent or extreme.
Behavioral activation is a technique used in CBT and other behavioral therapies, especially during the early stages of depression treatments. A person who's depressed may lack the motivation and energy to complete basic, healthy, life tasks. This can cause isolation and poor health, which enhances the depression, thus forming a dangerous cycle of lessening motivation and worsening depression.
